At least one person was injured Tuesday night in a crash involving a pedestrian on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, authorities said.

Firefighters responded about 8:20 p.m. to the crash in the 21400 block of Pacific Coast Highway, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

One person was being airlifted from the scene to a hospital, a fire department dispatcher said.

The crash prompted the closure of all westbound lanes and one eastbound lane, according to a tweet from the sheriff's Malibu-Lost Hills Station.

The sheriff's department reported about 9:20 p.m. that all lanes had been reopened.
