A person was killed and four other people were seriously injured in a traffic crash early Sunday morning in North Hills.
The crash was between a white lexus and a nissan crossover, and also damaged an old pickup truck that was parked nearby on the street.
Firefighters and paramedics dispatched at 5:39 a.m. to the 8700 block of North Haskell Avenue reported one person dead at the scene, said Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Four other people were in at least serious condition and rushed to an area hospital, Stewart said.
The street is currently blocked off.
