Pacific Coast Highway Closed Due to Fatal Crash in Santa Monica

A fatal crash investigation closed Pacific Coast Highway Tuesday morning near the California Incline in Santa Monica.

A pedestrian was fatally struck by two cars on the stretch of seaside road, police said. The person died at the scene of the crash, which occurred about 5:20 a.m. on northbound Pacific Coast Highway the Santa Monica Police Department said.

A section of northbound PCH was closed in the area during the investigation. The drivers remained at the scene.

It was not immediately clear why the pedestrian was walking on the road.
