A man was shot and killed by police in downtown Los Angeles Sunday afternoon.
The shooting happened in the area of 7th and Hope streets around 2:15 p.m., according to LAPD, and several blocks were closed near the intersection.
According to the police department, transit services officers saw the man armed with a shotgun and pursued him on foot.
He died where the shooting happened and a shotgun and ammunition were found with him.
