    Driver Surrenders After OC Freeway Pursuit

    Two people in a Mercedes-Benz surrendered at the end of a 15-minute pursuit Tuesday Jan. 22, 2019 in Orange County. (Published Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2019)

    Two people in a Mercedes-Benz were arrested Tuesday night at the end of a freeway pursuit in Orange County. 

    The chase began after the driver took off during a traffic stop in Westminster and entered the 22 Freeway. A weapon was tossed from the car before the driver exited the 605 Freeway at Katella Avenue and surrendered. 

    The driver and a passenger, both wanted for outstanding warrants, were taken into custody.

    Details about the weapon thrown from the car were not immediately available.
