Police were pursuing a vehicle in the Santa Clarita area Friday night.
NewsChopper4 Alpha was overhead when the Los Angeles Police Department began chasing the stolen vehicle described as a silver Kia Rio after it failed to yield minutes before 10 p.m.
Minutes after the chase ensued, the driver went on the wrong side of the road on surface streets and drove at speeds near 100 miles per hour.
At around 11:37 p.m., the suspect stopped and ran into a tree-covered area on Tourney Rd and Springfield in Santa Clarita.
Shortly after, the suspect was arrested.
