Police Looking for Alhambra Armed Robbery Suspect

Police Friday circulated security images of a man sought for robbing another man at gunpoint in front of an Alhambra restaurant.

The crime occurred about 9:30 p.m. July 6 outside Pepe's in the 500 block of Valley Boulevard

"As the victim was talking on his phone while waiting for his food, he heard the suspect talking to him," according to an Alhambra Police Department statement.

"When the victim turned to see who was talking to him, he saw the suspect pointing a gun at his face. He ordered him to empty his pockets and the victim complied. The suspect ordered the victim to turn around and (not to) look back or he would shoot him. The victim complied and walked away."

Authorities released security photos of the suspect, described as Hispanic, about 5 feet 8 to 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a stocky build. He had a short haircut, a dark complexion, and tattoos on his arms, and appeared to be in his 20s.

Anyone with information on the crime was urged to call the Alhambra police tip line at 626-308-4875.
