A man was arrested after a short pursuit and standoff in the San Fernando Valley.
The pursuit began after Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies in plainclothes, were staking out a residence in the 8700 block of Woodley Avenue in North Hills, looking for burglary suspects, police said.
The pursuit covered surface streets in and around North Hills.
It ended around 4:40 p.m. at Woodley Avenue and Parthenia Street.
The driver pulled over and surrendered after a minutes-long standoff with officers who had their guns drawn.
