Police Search for Missing Actress Who Moved From Tennessee to Hollywood

An aspiring 24-year-old actress has been missing since late last year

The eternal dream of being in the movies lured a bright-eyed teen, Satara Stratton, from Tennessee to Hollywood six years ago.

Now 24, Stratton has been missing since late last year. Her mother Sharon, who lives in Chattanooga, has been unable to connect with her daughter by phone or e-mail, and is beside herself with worry.

"Part of her problem was she was sick to start with," Sharon said. "When she went out there she became ill."

Now police from two agencies are trying to find Satara.

“If she needs help and is unable to ask for help, either by threats or intimidation, we need to determine if that’s what’s going on,” said Detective Carmine Sasso, who runs the LAPD’s Missing Persons Unit.

Also having dropped from view, and so far unable to be located is 46-year old acquaintance Paul Constantinescu, who is a registered sex offender on probation.

"He works at a business in Hollywood," Sasso said. "We went there last week and he wasn’t there."

At the workplace, behind a boarded up storefront, an employee there told NBC 4 that he had seen Satara there about a month ago, but he hasn’t seen Constantinescu in recent days.

Stratton goes by the screen name Satara Silver. On her Facebook page, Continescau is listed as a friend.

Since coming to LA, Satara has landed a number of film roles. She has also had a number of run-ins with law enforcement involving drugs.

If you have any information about the whereabouts of Satara Stratton, you’re urged to call the LAPD’s Missing Person’s Unit.
