Police Shoot Suspect in San Pedro

Officers were responding to a report of a man with a gun

A man was shot by Los Angeles police in San Pedro early Sunday morning.

Officers were responding to a call of a man with a gun, said Sgt. P. Aeschliman of the Los Angeles Police Department Harbor Station.

“He came out and an officer-involved shooting occurred,” he said.

The shooting occurred at 2:55 a.m. at 1249 W. 15th St. (map).

The suspect was transported to Harbor UCLA Medical Center, Aeschliman said.

After the shooting, police set up a perimeter in the area while two more suspects – a man and a woman – refused to exit a building, a news photographer at the scene said.

A man and woman were later seen being taken into custody.
