Two Men Surrender After SWAT Standoff

Two suspects surrendered after barricading themselves in a home following their alleged involvement in an earlier armed robbery

Two men  believed to have been involved with an armed robbery early Thursday morning surrendered just after noon following a several hour standoff with police in Chino.

SWAT officers remained on scene at a home in the 12800 block of 16th Street before 1 p.m.

The suspects were believed to be armed, and it was not immediately clear if there were any other people in the home.

The standoff stems from an incident that occurred about 3:20 a.m., when someone robbed a person at gunpoint, also in Chino.

The location of the initial robbery was not immediately clear, but police said it was not in a home or business.
