Man Shot in Pomona Crashes into Vehicles

The man was shot in the chest and seemingly lost control of his vehicle, leaving a trail of debris

A motorist was shot and his car crashed into several parked vehicles in Pomona Sunday, police said.

The shooting was reported just before 2 p.m. on Cordova Street, according to the Pomona Police Department.

Investigators said the victim was driving south on Cordova Street when he was shot in the chest, causing him to lose control of his car and slam into parked vehicles in the 1300 block of Elysian Avenue.

Police found the unidentified man slumped over the steering wheel, and they transported him to a hospital for treatment of the gunshot wound, police said.

His condition was not known. A motive for the attack was unknown. No suspect information was available.
