Police shot a man after a stabbing Thursday at a home in Porter Ranch.
Officers received a call around 10:40 p.m. Wednesday of a domestic disturbance in the 20000 block of Sardinia Avenue and found a woman who had been stabbed and a man holding a sharp object, according to police.
Officers ordered the man several times to drop the object and used non-lethal force, including a stun gun, to get the man to comply, but he charged officers, police said. That's when police opened fire.
The man and the woman were taken to the hospital and are both listed in stable condition, he said. It's unclear what the relationship is between the man and woman.
No officers were injured.
