President Barack Obama arrived in the Los Angeles area Tuesday afternoon to make an appearance on the "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno."
The afternoon taping for the 11:35 p.m. broadcast will be the president's sixth on the late-night talk show and fourth since taking office.
The conversation is expected to be light with a sprinkling of business, as Obama looks to rev up support for his economic agenda. That includes job creation and strengthening the middle class.
The president arrived at Los Angeles International Airport aboard Air Force One at about 3:25 p.m. and was greeted by LA Mayor Eric Garcetti.
The president promptly boarded Marine One to make his way to Burbank for the taping.
The Los Angeles Police Department released a list of areas for drivers to avoid traffic congestion.

Motorists should steer clear of the following areas between 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Tuesday:
- Hollywood Way and San Fernando Road
- Hollywood Way and Burbank Boulevard
- Hollywood Way and Alameda Avenue
- West Olive Avenue and Buena Vista Street
- Sherman Way and Hayvenhurst Avenue
- Victory Boulevard and Canoga Avenue
- Canoga Avenue and Burbank Boulevard
The visit will be part of a two-day trip to Southern California. The president will stay overnight in the Woodland Hills area and then visit Marines at Camp Pendleton on Wednesday.
The LAPD said drivers should also avoid the following areas between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.
- Sherman Way and Hayvenhurst Avenue
- Victory Boulevard and Canoga Avenue
- Canoga Avenue and Burbank Boulevard
Obama was last in Southern California on June 7 to attend a fundraiser in Santa Monica. An unrelated mass shooting took place just blocks away at Santa Monica College.
