A high school cross-country running team took a different approach to their usual workout by pairing up with shelter dogs – some of which had never even been out on a run before.
The excitement was infectious Thursday as the pups at Santa Barbara County Animal Shelter prepared for the run with the group from St. Joseph High School.
"I am not sure who was more excited and having the most fun...the dogs or the kids," said Luis Escobar, who posted the video to Facebook. The video had more than 100,000 views and was liked more than 3,000 times.
Some pups of course weren’t used to all the energy, and needed a little help.
