The driver of a stolen Honda Accord who led officers on a high-speed pursuit through downtown Los Angeles was taken into custody after running from the vehicle and onto a high school campus.
The driver rammed several other vehicles, including drivers stopped on a freeway exit ramp. Aerial video showed the Accord traveling at high rates of speed, sometimes in the wrong lanes of traffic and nearly striking oncoming drivers.
After stopping on the 10 Freeway in Alhambra, the driver appeared to run toward a building at an Mark Kepple High School, where he was tackled and taken into custody. The school was locked down due to police activity.
