Real Estate Agent Arrested for Residential Burglary and Grand Theft Auto

Chandroo has been charged with residential burglary and grand theft auto.

A Rancho Cucamonga resident found his vehicle was stolen from his garage, but what he did not expect finding was the identity of the robber - a real estate agent.

Richard Chandroo, 42, was arrested Jan. 23 after Fontana PD obtained a search warrant and took him in custody at the West Valley Detention Center. Chandroo remains in custody with a $250,000 bail.

Surveillance video shows Chandroo ramming a vehicle through a locked gate at a complex, where he later returned to the residence and attempted to steal the victim’s motorcycle.

Detectives believe that other homes might have been targeted by Chandroo who, because of his realtor license, has access to a lot of homes.

Chandroo has been charged with residential burglary and grand theft auto.
