San Fernando Valley Recreation Centers to Be Open Longer Due to SoCal Fires

Los Angeles recreation centers around the San Fernando Valley will add activities and be open longer Friday to accommodate Los Angeles Unified School District students whose schools were closed because of wildfires.

In the East Valley District, these centers are affected:

-- Fernangeles RC, in Sun Valley;

-- North Hollywood RC, in North Hollywood;

-- North Weddington RC, in North Hollywood;

-- Sun Valley RC, in Sun Valley;

-- Valley Plaza RC, in North Hollywood; and

-- Vineland RC, in North Hollywood.

In the West Valley District, these centers are affected:

-- Lanark RC, in Canoga Park;

-- Mason RC, in Chatsworth;

-- Northridge RC, in Northridge;

-- Reseda RC, in Reseda;

-- Shadow Ranch RC, in West Hills;

-- Shadow Ranch RC, in West Hills; and

-- Winnetka RC, in Winnetka.

In the Mid Valley District:

-- Cardenas RC, in Panorama City;

-- David M. Gonzales RC, in Pacoima;

-- Lake View Terrace RC, in Lake View Terrace;

-- Panorama RC, in Panorama City;

-- Ritchie Valens RC, in Pacoima;

-- Sepulveda RC, in Panorama City;

-- Sunland RC, in Sunland, and

-- Van Nuys RC, in Van Nuys.
