Authorities sought public help Monday to find a man who exposed himself to a woman who was exercising at a park in the Santa Clarita area.
The crime occurred about 4 p.m. Thursday in a grassy area of the park in the 24300 block of The Old Road, the sheriff's department reported.
"A male adult stood next to her and exposed himself," according to a sheriff's statement. "The victim screamed and the suspect fled the scene."
The man was described as light-skinned, about 25-30 years old, with a thin build and dark hair. He was wearing dark colored sweats. Deputies released security images of the vehicle he was driving, described as a dark purple, newer-model Lincoln MKZ sedan.
Anyone with information on the case was urged to call the sheriff's Santa Clarita Station at 661-255-1121, or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS.
Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's deputies were increasing patrols around the park.
