2-Month-Old Girl Found After Reported Missing in Hesperia; Mother Arrested

A 2-month-old girl who was reported missing in Hesperia has been found after her mother was arrested on suspicion of child endangerment, officials said Sunday. 

Deputies responded to reports of a missing infant around 7:30 p.m. Saturday, according to the San Bernardino Sheriff's Department's Hesperia station.

Ashlynn Thomas was last seen at a Days and Nights Inn located on Bear Valley Road earlier in the day, deputies learned. She was located Sunday morning and appeared to be in good health, officials said. 

During the investigation, detectives made contact with family, friends and acquaintances of the child's mother, Tina Baxter, but the infant's whereabouts were unknown.

Baxter was arrested and booked on charges of child endangerment, officials said.
