Firefighters were battling a small brush fire that prompted the temporary closure of the westbound 10 Freeway in Covina Saturday, officials said.
The 3-acre blaze broke out shortly after 1 p.m. near the westbound San Bernardino Freeway at Via Verde, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
All westbound lanes of the 10 Freeway east of Via Verde were initially blocked, but the California Highway Patrol reopened two lanes shortly after.
It is unknown when the remaining lanes will be reopened.
About 75 firefighters were assisting in the firefight, which was fully knocked down as of 4 p.m., fire officials said.
No structure damage or injuries were reported.
