South Los Angeles Street Racing Crash Kills One, Injures Six

One person died and six were hospitalized after an apparent street-racing crash involving three cars in South Los Angeles, authorities said.

The crash happened about 2 a.m. near the intersection of Alameda Street and Firestone Boulevard. One driver has been arrested and police were searching for a second driver.

The six injured drivers were expected to survive, police said. Additional details have not been released.
