Southwest Launches Sale With Fares From LAX as Low as $42

One-way flights from Long Beach and Burbank to Oakland and Sacramento start below $50

Southwest is holding its semi-annual sale, with one-way domestic flights from Los Angeles International Airport starting as low as $42.

The sale began Tuesday morning and ends at 11:59 p.m. Thursday.

A one-way flight from LAX to Las Vegas is going for $42, while flights to San Francisco, Albuquerque and El Paso, among others, are selling for $49.

A flight from LAX or John Wayne Airport to Cabo San Lucas starts at $99.

One-way flights from Long Beach, Burbank and Ontario to Oakland and Sacramento start below $50.

A three-week advance purchase is required. Seats and some dates for domestic flights are blocked, including Fridays and Sundays.

Domestic flights can be purchased from Oct. 31 through Dec. 9 and Jan. 3 through Feb. 14. International flights must be booked between Oct. 31 and Dec.13 and Jan. 10 through March 2.
