Four in Custody After Huntington Beach Stabbing

One person is stabbed, four people are taken into custody hours later

Four people were taken into custody Thursday in connection with a fatal stabbing at a park in Huntington Beach.

It happened at Lark View Park on Fraser Lane, just before 10 p.m. The 19-year-old victim was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead, said Huntington Beach Police Sgt. A. Smith.

An area resident said he heard a confrontation in the park as he was headed home. A short time later, someone came knocking on his door.

"One of the people in the confrontation came to my door," said Bob Littrell. "They asked to call 911, which I did right away."

Paramedics arrived quickly and he watched them start CPR, but the victim's breath was very shallow, Littrell said. The victim died a short time later.

Two adults and two juveniles involved in a traffic stop in Garden Grove were taken into custody at 10:30 a.m., according to police. The names of the adults are expected to be released Thursday afternoon.
