Supermodel Bar Refaeli Slams Reports Saying She Can't Get a Date

Earlier reports that Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover girl Bar Refaeli was lamenting her inability to find a man had prospective suitors lining up. But according to Refaeli those reports are untrue.

The former girlfriend of Leonardo DiCaprio took to Twitter to address a story published in the New York Daily News and also reported on the "Today" show and this website claiming she was upset over a lack of romantic dates.

"Just woke up to Daily News saying I'm looking for a strong FAMOUS guy- what?!?! Where did u get that?? Completely false," Refaeli, 28, tweeted Friday. She followed the first tweet with second which read: "LOL now I won't be stopped getting asked out by u guys ha?:) i'm single, happy and loving it!"

The story originally came from a supposed tell-all interview running Friday in the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth.

"I don't understand it," the paper quoted the Israeli model as saying. "I'm okay. I look great. I'm cool. I like going out. I like being at home, I like movies, I like eating. So what's wrong with me? Why am I alone?"

The Daily News article also quotes Refaeli as telling the Israeli paper that she is "looking for someone serious, who I can set up home with. Someone who comes from a warm, loving family like mine, who has values like mine.”

Turns out this is not the first time that Refaeli has had a beef with Yedioth Ahronoth. According to the Israeli news service Haaretz, she sued the newspaper in 2007 over what she claimed was a misleading headline and "false" quotes pertainging to story that ran under the headline "Bar Refaeli versus the State of Israel."
