Suspect Arrested in Santa Ana Murder

Victim in his 50s was found dead in his apartment Wednesday

Police have arrested a suspect in connection with the murder of a Santa Ana man found dead in his apartment.

Salvador Barragan, 37, of Anaheim, was arrested Thursday on suspicion of murder and is being held in lieu of $1 million, according to the Santa Ana Police Department.

A man in his 50s was found dead Wednesday in an apartment he shared with five roommates, police said.

One of the roommates returned to the two-bedroom apartment in the 1300 block of North Harbor Boulevard about 1:20 a.m. Wednesday, when he found the man dead inside.

None of the other roommates were home at the time of the discovery, police said.

Police identified Barragan as an acquaintance of the man who was killed. The victim has not been identified, pending notification of next of kin.
