    Teen in Critical Condition After Shot in the Head

    A teenager is in critical condition after he was shot in the head in Orange County early Sunday morning, police said.

    Police responded to a call about 2 a.m. regarding a victim near Lilac Avenue and Sterling Court in Fountain Valley, according to the Santa Ana Police Department.

    The victim was described as a 16 or 17-year-old boy.

    Police said the teen was the victim of a possible car-to-car shooting that took place near the intersection of Edinger Avenue and Fairview Street in Santa Ana. The shooting was believed to be gang related, according to police.

    The teen was transported to UC Irvine Medical Center where he is listed in critical condition.

    There is no suspect description at this time.

    The shooting is under investigation.
