The American Music Awards Return This Sunday

The 38th Annual American Music Awards air on Sunday evening at 5:00

Hollywood is gearing up for award season and is kicking things off this weekend with the American Music Awards.

The 38th annual awards show will be held Sunday, Nov. 21 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.  ABC will broadcast the show live beginning at 5:00 P.M. local time (8:00 P.M. ET).

Leading this year's nominees are Eminem and Lady Antebellum with five nominations each, reports the AMA's official website. Justin Beiber comes right behind them with four nominations, and Ke$ha, Usher and Katy Perry are each up for three.

According to Rollingstone.com, Rihanna will open the awards this year, joining a star-studded list of artists including: The Black Eyed Peas, Train, Taylor Swift, Kid Rock, Katy Perry, Bon Jovi, Usher, Pink, Backstreet Boys & New Kids on the Block, Ne-Yo, Justin Beiber, and much more.

This year's presenters are made up of many announced guests, as well as a few surprise appearances. Some of the known presenters are: Jessica Alba, Seal, Samuel L. Jackson, Ryan Seacrest, Sheryl Crow, John Legend, Kelly Osbourne, Mandy Moore and many more.
