Boy, Woman Hospitalized in Watts Halloween Hit-and-Run

The hit-and-run vehicle was found nearby with a shattered windshield and Halloween candy on its hood

An 11-year-old boy and a woman were struck by a hit-and-run driver as they were trick-or-treating Wednesday night in Watts.

The victims, both wearing Halloween costumes, were crossing an intersection at East 92nd Street and Beach Street. Halloween candy and a costume were scattered at the intersection.

The two victims were hospitalized. Details regarding their conditions were not immediately available.

A silver Suzuki involved in the crash was located nearby, but authorities did not locate the driver. Candy was found on the damaged vehicle's hood. The car's windshield was shattered.
