President Donald Trump held a rally Tuesday in Arizona that drew supporters and protests.
The rally marked Trump's first public political event since the violence in Charlottesville, Virginia more than a week ago. Protesters gathered protest outside the Phoenix Convention Center, where Trump delivered a speech to supporters in which he blamed the media for the widespread condemnation of his response to violence at a Charlottesville, Virginia, rally organized by white supremacists. Trump supporters began gathering before dawn Tuesday, many wearing pins, red "Make America Great Again" hats and shirts with images of the Statue of Liberty and American flag.
