Los Angeles Police Department responded to a shooting call in the Central-Alameda area of South Los Angeles Tuesday that left one man wounded and another one dead.
The call came in at 4:52 p.m. in the 1700 block on Long Beach Boulevard, police said.
A man in his 40s was pronounced dead at the scene and a man in his 50s was taken to a hospital, but his condition was not immediately available, according to LAPD Officer Mike Lopez.
The suspected shooter, identified as Danny Valdez, was last seen northbound on Long Beach Boulevard on a 1990-1994 compact white Toyota, according to LAPD.
An ambulance took patients to a local hospital.
