USPS Facility in Anaheim Resumes Operation After Worker Becomes Ill

A United States Postal Service facility in Anaheim resumed operation early Wednesday morning after a worker reported feeling sick, prompting some workers to be escorted outside, officials said.

The incident was reported just after 2:30 a.m. at a USPS facility in the 5300 block of East La Palma Avenue, according to the Anaheim Fire Department.

The worker reportedly opened a package that contained a liquid substance that began to leak. The man began to feel sick and was transported to a hospital, according to the Anaheim Fire Department.

Two other employees that handled the same package did not report feeling sick.

Some of the workers were escorted outside of the building as precaution, according to the Anaheim Fire Department.

Anaheim Fire Department requested Hazmat to help investigate. Hazmat identified the liquid as a "homeopathic medicine."
