29-Year-Old Ride-Hailing Driver Reported Missing in Los Angeles

Thiede was driving a black Altima with a California plate of 7CSD450, police said

Police asked for the public's help Saturday to find a 29-year-old man who went missing while driving for Uber or Lyft in Los Angeles.

Joshua Thiede was last seen driving in the 1000 block of Wilshire Boulevard at about 11 a.m. last Sunday, according to police.

Thiede was driving a black Altima with a California plate of 7CSD450, police said.

Thiede is white, with brown hair and blue eyes, police said. He stands about 6-feet tall and weighs about 170 pounds.

Lyft also released a statement: "Our concern is with Mr. Thiede's safety and well being. We have been in touch with his family and law enforcement and will continue to assist in whatever way we can."

Anyone with information on his whereabouts was asked to call the LAPD's Missing Persons Unit at (213) 996-1800 or (877) 527-3247 or 911. Tipsters can also call Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS.
