Inside the Hall of Liberty at Forest Lawn Cemetery on Saturday, family, friends and coworkers honored Irma Zamora, the LA native who died last month trying to help a driver whose vehicle crashed into a light pole in Valley Village.
"Irma's loss of life has touched all of us in Los Angeles," said Jaime Tolle, the presiding pastor at Saturday's funeral. "We got to see something of the good heart of Los Angeles by one of our citizens."
"She believed in God, and God believed in her because the minute she sacrificed her life to save another, he grabbed her by the hand and said, 'It's time. Let's go,' and that's what I'm willing to except now," said widower Andre Woloszyn.
Zamora was electrocuted while trying to help 19-year-old Arman Samsonian. The Glendale man crashed his SUV into a light pole, shearing a fire hydrant in the process, shortly before 8:30 p.m. Aug. 22 in the 12000 block of West Magnolia Boulevard.
Valley Village resident Stacey Schreiber, 39, was also electrocuted trying to help. Several other Good Samaritans were injured in the incident.
Beau Maxon, who was injured while trying to rescue Zamora attended Saturday's service.
"I'm indebted to Irma for the rest of my life," Maxon said. "Everyone says, I tried saving her, but she saved me."
"I've made so many new friendships and bonds with all these people, and she gave me a new outlook and for that I'm forever grateful," Maxon said.

At Saturday's funeral, Zamora's only child David Aguilar said he's trying to keep a positive outlook as he moves on with his life.
"Just have a career that I love, that's all she wanted for me, and I know as I'm on that process, she's going to be watching me every step of the way and smiling," Aguilar said.
Zamora will be cremated and her ashes spread in the ocean she loved so much, Aguilar said.
CD2: "Valley Village Streetlight Removed"
The Valley Village street light, located at the corner where two women were electrocuted while trying to help after a car crash, was removed Saturday, according to Council District 2.
About a week after the crash, the hydrant and light were replaced, but neighbors said they still had concerns about the potential for a similar accident.
"The high voltage light has been removed, the base covered by cement and BSL officials said nearby LED lights will increase in wattage to ensure the neighborhood and street are properly illuminated," according to CD2.
