Watch: Five Candidates for California Governor Meet in Debate

Five of the leading candidates for governor of California met in a debate Monday March 26, 2018 at USC ahead of the June 5 primary election.

"California's Race for Governor" was a policy-focused debate with an opportunity for the public to hear the candidates' plans to improve the quality of life for people and communities within California. The debate, in partnership with the USC Sol Price School of Public Policy, was co-moderated by NBC4 anchor Colleen Williams and NBC4 chief political reporter Conan Nolan. 

The participants were Republican State Assemblyman Travis Allen; California State Treasurer John Chiang, a Democrat; Republican businessman John Cox, Democratic former State Assemblywoman and State Superintendent Delaine Eastin; and former Los Angeles mayor and Democratic Assembly Speaker Antonio Villaraigosa.
