This year's Carnaval will feature a tribute to the 40th anniversary of The Rocky Horror Picture Show to mark West Hollywood's 30 years of cityhood.

Horvath and members of the West Hollywood City Council will name Rocky Horror Picture Show star Tim Curry, the lead actor in the film, as the city's honorary mayor.

The Halloween Carnaval was launched in 1987 and has consistently represented the city's diverse culture and community, as well as attracting revelers from far afield each year, according to Carnaval organizers.

The city's WeHoTV will host a live broadcast of the event on its YouTube page. The page notes it is an adult event, so viewer discretion is advised.
