‘Amazing Aiden' Battling Cancer Receives Outpouring of Support, Toys

Aiden, a boy who suffers from stage 4 neuroblastoma, was awaiting surgery on May 17 when a sign appeared on his window at Children's Hospital Los Angeles asking for "super powers."

After 5-year-old Aiden's friends put a sign on his hospital window asking the citizens of Los Angeles to send him "super powers," the boy battling cancer has received an outpouring of support in addition to goodies from Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment, his family said Wednesday.

Aiden Zea, a boy who suffers from stage 4 neuroblastoma, was awaiting surgery on May 17 when a sign appeared on his window at Children's Hospital Los Angeles asking for good vibes. His story began gaining traction, and the super powers must have helped, because the boy had a successful surgery the following day.

Aiden had already battled a lot — he had undergone six rounds of chemo, and a tumor removal in addition to the double-marrow procedure in a little over seven months.

His mother said Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment heard his superhero tale after it went viral, and sent him a care package including a Superman stuffed animal, Batman and Robin toys, Legos and more.

Aiden beamed in a photo sent by his mom from his hospital bed.

Jennifer Zea also said he has received an outpouring of support, including a "thinking of you" card from 4,000 students and faculty at Edison High School in Huntington Beach.

Way to go, "Amazing Aiden!"
