Armed Robber Posed as FedEx Employee

The suspect entered Honolulu Jewelry on 2250 Honolulu Ave. at around 11:45 a.m. Saturday, according to Glendale police.

Police are looking for a man suspected of robbing a Glendale jewelry store dressed in a FedEx uniform Saturday morning.

The suspect posed as FedEx worker with a package in his arms when he entered Honolulu Jewelry on 2250 Honolulu Ave. at around 11:45 a.m., according to Glendale police.

He then brandished a handgun, which he used to strike the owner in the face multiple times before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of items, Glendale police Sgt. Tim Oswandel said.

Police said as many as two other suspects may be involved, KTLA reported.

There were no customers in the store at the time of the robbery, but witnesses outside the business reported seeing the suspect, described as an African American man, drive off in a light-colored Volkswagen Jetta.
