INDIO, Calif. -- An autopsy is set for Tuesday on the body of a man fatally shot in Indio, according the Riverside County Coroner's Office.
The victim was found dead with multiple bullet wounds on a lawn near the Summer Field Apartments, 83498 Capricorn Avenue, just before 1 a.m. Saturday, said Indio police spokesperson Ben Guitron.
"Upon arrival, we found a young man about 18 years old deceased," Guitron said. He said investigators hope anyone with information about the attack will come forward.
The victim's name was withheld because of the investigation, according to the coroner's office.
