Big Decisions for Adam and Cee Lo on The Voice

Four women competed for two semi-final spots on The Voice

It was an easy Tuesday night on "The Voice" for Jamar Rogers and Tony Lucca, who were granted free passes into the semi-final round by viewers. It was much tougher for the four ladies left to compete for just two spots.

First up, Team Adam's Mathai and Katrina took the stage for their second chance songs. The look on Adam's face said it all.

"It's hard, these are people's lives," said singer and coach Adam Levine. "They invest a certain amount of time of their lives and we have the luxury of saying it doesn't matter, but it matters a lot for these guys."

In the end, Adam sent home 19-year-old Mathai. Backstage, she was disappointed, but optimistic.

"I get to do the thing I always wanted to do and now I have so many people supporting me and that's so cool," Mathai said.

The match up between Cheesa and Juliet on Team Cee Lo was difficult, and not only for their coach.

"Everybody knows it's been very obvious I support Cheesa," said Cee Lo Green "I love you Cheesy."

It was even tougher for the two women who've been roommates throughout the process, and who have grown close.

"It's definitely hard," said Cheesa. "But I'm going to keep being friends with them, despite 'The Voice.' I've made some really good friends."

Once again a decision wasn't made until the final seconds of the show, as credits were rolling.  Despite their friendship, Cee Lo sent Cheesa home.

After two straight weeks that went down to the credits, host Carson Daly let us in on his secret signal to the coaches.

"The key is in the left hand," said Daly, wiggling his hand down by his pants. "I do this, which means wrap it up, and I hope Cee Lo sees that happening."
