A driver suffered minor injuries Wednesday night when the trailer of a big rig toppled onto the top of his Lexus sedan and crushed part of the roof.
The passenger's side of the Lexus' roof caved in under the weight of the trailer, carrying about 32,000 pounds of alfalfa, but a portion of the roof above the driver's seat remained intact. Anaheim fire-rescue crews cut through part of the driver's side of the car to rescue the driver, who was responsive as team members transported him to an ambulance.
The crash occurred at about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday on the westbound 91 Freeway near State College Boulevard in Anaheim. Details regarding the cause of the crash were not immediately available.
The trucker was not injured.
