One of the most bizarre claims against President Barack Obama is the insane notion that he's not qualified for the office because he was not born on U.S. soil. Even though there's proof everywhere online that Obama was born in Hawaii, many on the far right still believe he is ineligible to be president. They've become knows as "birthers."
Orly Taitz, an Orange County attorney who has gone to court several times to try to disqualify Obama, is thought of as the leader of the so-called birther movement and was scheduled to speak at a gathering this week at a Tea Party Rally in Pleasanton.
Time for another explainer.
Regardless of its political connotations, the Tea Party is not a political party. Rather, it's another group of angry right-wingers upset over the way the government is being run under the Obama Administration.
Taitz was scheduled to appear at the Pleasanton rally Thursday, along with Several California Republican political candidates, including Senate hopeful Carly Fiorina. But now there's word that Taitz has been uninvited to the event.
The Los Angeles Times reports Taitz was booted from the lineup because of too much press.

Bridget Melson, founder and president of the Pleasanton Tea Party, said the organization had been "getting calls from candidates like crazy."
"It's not worth it," she said. "She's too controversial. This is not what the tea party is about at this point."
Senate candidate Chuck DeVore is one of the scheduled speakers at the event. A representative of his campaign told The Times that until the paper contaced him, he didn't know about Taitz's scheuled appearance. But DeVore, who's speaking at the event, is not a fan of Taitz.
"I can say emphatically that the Chuck DeVore campaign and Chuck DeVore himself strongly disapproves of Orly Taitz and the crazy theories she continues to advance," Josh Trevino, a DeVore spokesman told The Times.
Fiorina is also still planning to attend.
