Husband Arrested After Discovery of Wife's Body in SUV

The woman's body was discovered in a casino parking lot after her husband reported her missing, according to investigators

The husband of a 57-year-old woman whose body was found Sunday in a sport utility near a casino was arrested Monday, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

The woman's body was discovered Sunday in the 11800 block of Carson Street (map), near the Hawaiian Gardens Casino. Officials with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department confirmed the woman's husband -- 60-year-old Tomas Rodriguez Infante -- was arrested early Monday morning.

Bond was set at $1 million, according to LA County jail records.

The victim's husband reported her missing Saturday to the West Covina Police Department. He told authorities she did not return home from work Friday morning, according to the sheriff's department.

Deputies located the victim's car Sunday in the casino parking lot.

"Due to the condition of the victim's body, it appeared the victim was killed and placed in the rear of the vehicle," the sheriff's department said in a statement.

Authorities did not provide details regarding a cause of death. The slaying occurred at the family's West Covina home, investigators told NBC4.

West Covina is about 25 miles north of the Hawaiian Gardens Casino.
