A woman gave birth Thursday to a boy inside a vehicle parked on the side of the Riverside (91) Freeway in Anaheim, authorities said.
The woman's husband had just driven onto the freeway when his wife's water broke around 12:40 a.m., prompting him to pull over to the side of freeway, just west of State College Boulevard, Anaheim Fire Capt. Joe Gutierrez told an On Scene video camera crew.
Anaheim Fire Department paramedics helped the woman deliver the baby, which had already been crowning, Gutierrez said.
The woman and her baby were taken to a hospital and "seem to be doing OK," a Metro Net dispatch supervisor said.
