A structure fire that threatened structures in Santa Clarita Sunday was knocked down within a couple of hours, officials said.
The blaze, reported near San Francisquito Canyon Road and Lowridge Place, was close to being contained just shortly after noon, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department Twitter page.
The fire was reported around 11:30 a.m. and held steady at 15 acres for about an hour. Flames were running to the south and were being driven by wind, authorities said.
