Authorities Thursday identified a man who died at the scene of a shooting at a residence in Burbank that left his wife critically wounded and a suspect dead.

The shooting was reported about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 900 block of Cambridge Drive, near Bel Aire Drive. Armen Sahakyan, 41, of Burbank was found inside his home and was pronounced dead at the scene, said Burbank police Sgt. Derek Green.

Sahakyan's wife was taken to a hospital, where she remains in critical condition, Green said. He said three children, ages 17, 13 and 7, were in the home but escaped injury. They were taken into protective custody by police and have since been reunited with relatives.
