Streets Reopen, School Lock Down Lifted After Manhunt For Pursuit, Burglary Suspects

Streets were closed and at least one school was locked down Monday morning due to a search after a man ran from a vehicle Monday morning at the end of a brief pursuit southwest of downtown Los Angeles.

At least three people were detained after the pursuit in the West Adams District near Western Avenue and West 24th Street.

The pursuit, which lasted about five minutes, began after a report of a burglary in progress in the 400 block of North Fairfax Avenue. The pursuit ended on the 10 Freeway and Western Avenue.

The 24th Street Elementary School was locked down during the search for the suspects, police said. The lockdown was later lifted.

Further details were not immediately available.
