Two people were killed and a third was seriously injured after a Corvette launched over a fence and landed in a backyard pool in Chino.
Investigators say it's unclear if drugs or alcohol played a role or if anyone was wearing a seatbelt, but they say speed was a major factor.
It happened at 2 a.m. Wednesday when a Corvette with three people inside sped down Schaefer and East End avenues, slammed into the center median, launched over a fence and landed in a backyard pool.

"I didn't hear like a screeching or anything like that like they tried to stop, then I got up and a little bit later I saw flashing lights," she said.
A 21-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man in the Corvette died. A third person in the car, a 23-year-old woman, was hospitalized with serious injuries.
"I went out of my kitchen door and I see a girl laying on my deck," said Art.

He says he couldn't believe a car was traveling so fast that it flew into his pool.
He says in the 15 years that he has lived here he has seen and heard dozens of crashes at the intersection.
Other neighbors say street racing is a big problem and many drivers will often speed around this tight bend. Some want more safety measures.
"Trust me, it worries me very much," said Maria Jasso. "My son's house is right on the corner."
Chino police say that if neighbors call them about their safety concerns they promise to take action.
"The more they call, the more exposure that intersection is going to get," said Sgt. Jesus Jacquez.
