A mother dropping her child off at a preschool plowed into the building Thursday, injuring five children.
The car jumped the sidewalk and crashed through a doorway at about 7:45 a.m., Huntington Beach fire department spokeswoman Martha Werth said.
Five children under the age of 5 were transported to hospitals, two with serious injuries, Huntington Beach police Lt. Russell Reinhart said. No adults were injured.
The motorist had not been charged. The cause of the crash was still under investigation, Reinhart said.
The were 14 students in the school at the time.
