Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with NBC4

From September 15 through October 15, 2016, NBC4 Southern California celebrates Hispanic Heritage month with a 30-minute Life Connected special and public service announcements airing on NBC4.  The station also supports several events and causes, including the Mexican Independence Day Parade, throughout the month and all year long.  

Be sure to tune in on Saturday, October 8, 2015 at 8:30 p.m. to watch a re-play of the award-winning Life Connected: Hispanic Heritage Month Special featuring several stories celebrating individuals in the Latino community throughout Southern California, hosted by Today in LA weekday anchor Daniella Guzman and Today in LA weekend anchor Michelle Valles.

NBC4 News at 11 a.m. anchor Kathy Vara will feature a tribute to three women who have made significant contributions in the Latino community in entertainment, space exploration and labor.

Also, Reporter John Cadiz Klemack profiles a local judge from humble beginnings who gives back to his high school, teaching youth about law and the court system through mock trials. 

Anchor and Reporter Robert Kovacik talks exclusively with the Yorba family behind the city of Yorba Linda in Orange County, and Jonathan Yorba's philanthropic committment to the Inland Empire today.

Reporter Lolita Lopez talks to track and field Olympian Brenda Martinez who gives back to her community and organizes a running camp specifically for girls.

NBC4 and Telemundo 52 celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.
